| Senior Pastor Bill Nylund Pastor Bill began pastoral training at Western Evangelical Seminary. During his studies, Bill was hired by Milwaukie Covenant for a one-year internship which he completed in the Spring of '91. Bill earned his Master of Divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary. Bill and family moved to Kearney, Missouri, where he began his first pastorate, serving there until July 1999 when he returned to MCC as Senior Pastor. Bill and wife Kim have three children. Associate Pastor of Youth Mark Mathis Pastor Mark grew up in Salem, Oregon, and attended Claremont McKenna College where he was active in the leadership of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. After completing two summer urban mission trips, Mark felt God's leading to continue working with those on society's margins. He spent three years ministering to youth with drug and alcohol dependency as a residential counselor at Advent Group Ministries in Northern California, then began his theological education at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts. During his time in Massachusetts, he ministered as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, worship leader and eventually interim minister at Pilgrim Church in Beverly. Mark and his wife Stephanie (also a Gordon-Conwell graduate) moved to Portland in 2008. Mark enjoys hiking, rock climbing, songwriting, reading and riding his small (but fun) motorcycle. | Secretary Tricia Haugen Tricia was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and came to Milwaukie by way of her husband, Bill. They met at Portland State University where Tricia studied Business Administration and Accounting. Bill and Tricia have two children, Hannah and Billy.
